What we do
A PRODUCTIVE PROCESS OF UNION AND COLLABORATION
1. Cultivation
Our members grow fruit and vegetables on their farms, following the Integrated Production Guidelines of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Throughout the fruit growing and harvesting process, our technical department assists and advises farmers in their production.




2. Delivery at the plant
The fruit, freshly harvested, is delivered at our plant in San Felice sul Panaro (Modena). Ital-Frutta premises cover an area of more than 5 hectares dedicated to the storage and processing of fruit and vegetables.
Our plant was built in 1967 and was completely reconstructed following the 2012 earthquake that hit our territory hard. On that occasion, all the equipment was renewed in order to make the processing more efficient and sustainable, also thanks to the modern photovoltaic system.
3. Storage
Our controlled-atmosphere cells have a storage capacity of 15 thousand tons and guarantee the correct preservation of the fruit until processing.
At this stage, the ripening process can be controlled to process our products at the right time.




4. Processing and packaging
Thanks to our processing lines we can select and package fruit according to customer needs: From the quality and size of the products to the choice of customized packaging. At the end of the process, the finished product is shipped to its destination.
THE DISTRIBUTION OF OUR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
Products are marketed to the domestic market, the international market, the processing industry and the large-scale retail trade. Our marketing channels are Alegra sca, Opera SCA, Apo Conerpo sca and Ital-Frutta itself.
